Adventures in the N-ether-lands

Hello folks,

Nige, is one of my friends and a regular blog visitor. Over the many years that I have had the pleasure of knowing him, it would be true to say, that strange things have a tendency to happen around him!

Well now, Nige wanted to share some of his holiday snaps with you lot....lol

The following are from his recent adventures in The Netherlands:-)
And, if I may say, quite rightly so!

So without further ado, let us begin...

Statue of a clown, which looks to me like it is riding a wild Boar or a Hog.
How is that for timing!
What with all the scare tactics in the mainstream media regarding swine flu?
Anyway, Nige found this statue in Hoorn
It was situated next to what appeared to him to be a public library.
But that is not all, take a look at what the statue directly lined up with...

Shall we call this The Hoorn eye?
Apparently, this was just part of a large fair, occupying many of the streets within Hoorn. With huge seductive prizes. Such as, 'win a new electronic moped for throwing a few darts at a dartboard'
Anyway, Nige is extremely empathic and found the negative vibe of the place to be too much to handle. But whilst he was there, he did notice that a three tone beat, waltz type of music was playing a hypnotic beat to the passengers on-board the Ferris wheel.

An eye on a building found in the village of West Terschelling on the island of Terschelling in the North.

Strange, how in 1666 West-Terschelling was ransacked by the English and how the town was burnt to the ground. Apparently known as "Holmes's Bonfire" after the English admiral Holmes, and the Great Fire of London

Also curious to discover that some of the goodies, found from a shipwreck off the coast of Terschelling. In Particular, The Lutine, whose bell just so happens to now be on display at Lloyd's of London.

Symbolism around The Arlington Business Park and Cottingley Heights

Hi Folks,
If you have been following the fairly recent blog posts HERE & HERE you may perhaps be interested in something, which I initially discovered on the third of October, 2006.

If you are unfamiliar with Leeds, West Yorkshire,UK. You really can be forgiven, because most of the local people feel exactly the same too!

However, one area of Leeds, which is known as Beeston received a lot of negative press on the 7th of July, 2005 (777 or, a date which is now more famously known as 7/7)

To quote our online friends Wikepdia:
"Beeston was the focus of unwanted attention following the 7 July 2005 London bombings, when it was revealed that the bombers had lived in the area. On 12 July, two properties in Beeston were raided by police in connection with the attacks"

To further quote our online friends Wikepdia:
"Following the 7th July bombings, the Muslim population of Beeston was in a state of both shock and fear. When news began to emerge of the Beeston link to the attacks, the majority of the population came out to condemn the atrocities. Since that time the community has cooperated closely with the police, but the local economy is still recovering from much of the negative media attention. There was a significant pulling together of people across the community with two Beeston Together for Peace marches being held. Each were joined by hundreds of people, some as the procession passed. The second procession ended at Millennium Square in Leeds city centre, uniting with people from other parts of Leeds for an interfaith vigil"

Okay, if you have been following the relevant links so far, then you may find the
following symbolism to be of some interest. But before I begin, I would like you to check out the Leeds City Council entry for the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, which was held in 2006.

Now see it reconstructed, in reverse, behind the Leeds mirrored 02 office block, at 'Arlington' Business park, which is on the doorstep of Beeston, Leeds:



To quote the official explanation, which can still be found HERE

"The objective of the design is to highlight the industrial heritage, and the current prosperity of Leeds. As well as using old and new materials the form of the garden has been inspired by the shapes of garment templates from Leeds’ historic clothing industry"

I ask you:
Does this remind you of simple tailoring templates, or some kind of throne, made of molten glass
with a pyramidal back drop?

Just a simple tailors template?

Does this remind you of any tailor made garments?

What about the tailors template design, as seen from this angle?
Ooops, I see that the "arch" is now in reverse to the original Chelsea Flower Show plans.
What is that all about?

Ah ok, so there is an open square archway...
So where, is this leading?

What are those towers in the distance?

The Twin Towers of Cottingley Heights

Formally known as the Syphinx, notice the pyramidal roof structure

(The land below number 1 Elland Road, is a notorious area, for the the flooding of excess water in wintertime)

snakes, arms and hands outside the LGI

Hi folks,
Thought I would finally upload some pictures, which I originally took back in April 2007. The artwork is situated outside the Leeds General Infirmary, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England.

The art actually reminds me of snakes, arms and hands in different postures. Anyway, see what you make of the following images.

Now I don't mind being accused of having an over active imagination. It's just that the artwork is situated fairly close to Leeds Millennium Square, where the arms, handprints and some very strange obelisks are situated. Hi folks,
You may have perhaps noticed that I am somewhat sick and tired of blogging about conspiracy and all the doom and gloom, which is constantly being reported by the main stream media.

Well now, I came across another inspiring story today, that completely touched my heart. Even after spending most of my lifetime around horses, it would be true to say that they never cease to amaze me. Their teachings, warm open loving hearts and gifts to humanity are so beautiful and profound.

What particularly struck me about the following story was the family trip, in search of answers, to Mongolia. The true domain of some of my closest ancestors, who lived upon the Mongolian/Russian border.
